"Tumult arose in the pleroma lest the creations of the Eons should become formless and imperfect, and destruction in no long time seize on the Eons themselves." - HIPPOLYTUS, Refutation, Bk. VI. Ch. 26. The "tumult" is the power to anticipate the result of the causes at work when the manvantaric law actualises, allied with sense of apprehension of the upshot, as it were, of given conditions to produce effects. This involves the care with which nature ensheaths the life in its various aspects, and so carries forward the plan of evolution. |
