ARITS, SEVEN, - HALLS OR GATEWAYS OF OSIRIS

Symbolic of seven states of the Soul in the cycle of Life, through which the Divine ego of the individual passes. "The Osiris Ani, triumphant, shall say when he cometh to this (seventh) Arit: I have come unto thee, O Osiris, who art cleansed of thine impurities. Thou goest round about heaven, thou seest Ra, thou seest the beings who have knowledge."-BUDGE, Book of the Dead, Ch. CXLVII. p. 478.

This signifies the triumph of the individual soul over the lower nature at the end of a cycle. The soul purified of the lower desires and emotions, identifies itself with its Higher Self, and becomes conscious of conditions on higher planes. It perceives intuitively the Divine love and wisdom.
