thrown off all those bonds called worldly objects, caused his son to
go through the usual birth-ceremonies in a manner worthy of the
family." - Buddha-Karita, Bk. I. 87.
The Self, whose nature is bliss, is said to rejoice in its
forth-going (masculine). It is Itself unconditioned, yet requires
its phenomenal Representative to pass through those stages which
will enable it to arrive at true liberty.
