CORN, OR WHEAT

A symbol of the higher qualities, the spiritual germs of which have been sown in the lower nature, where through cultivation they have fructified, grown upwards, and borne the "fruit of the spirit' " in the higher nature of the soul.

"He who cultivates most corn, grass, and fruits, with the left arm and the right, rejoiceth. - Vendidad, III.

The ego is most satisfied in himself, who assiduously cultivates those virtues, qualities, and powers, which accrue through the exercise of the active functions of the mind, incoming and outgoing, during periods of incarnation in which Karma is incurred, and results are achieved through the functionings of buddhi. What is sown in sorrow is reaped in joy.
