CYCLOPES-THEY WHO SEE ALL ROUNDSymbolic of Divine powers upon the higher planes. They are the Monads of form-the highest builders of forms on the planes of buddhi and manas. The Cyclopes are the first principles and causes of the figures which subsist everywhere. Hence theology says that they are 'manual artificers.' For this triad (Cyclopes) is perfective of figures, And in their forehead one round eye was fixed' (Hesiod)." - HERMIAS, Phædr., Taylor, pp. 12-14. “The one round eye" is a symbol of perception on each of the higher planes. The forms (figures) of organic life are modelled from growth-patterns on higher planes. |
