DEATH UNTO LIFE
The passage, as it were, of the human monad from
the lower nature to the higher. The lower nature of the soul,
centered by the personality, perishes, while the victorious ego
rises to the higher mental plane and becomes one with its Lord (the
Individuality) in the causal-body.
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.' Rightly, indeed, does He
call them the blessed dead, for they remain continually dead to
themselves, and immersed beyond their own nature in the gladdening

The lower life is the outflowing limited life of the manifest which
ends in death, while the higher life is the inflowing, increasing
life towards the Ideal and Eternal within.
