JESUS AS THE FISHA symbol of the Higher Self as the Saviour of the human soul. "He (God) had his dwelling in the Great Sea, and was a Fish therein." - Zohar. "Jesus is a Fish that lives in the midst of waters." - ST. Augustine. The "Great Sea" is the primeval water," the symbol of Truth-Reality which outpours from the absolute. The Higher Self abides and manifests in that Ocean of Truth; hence the symbol of the Fish, as the spiritual Life within the reality of Being. |
