PILLARS OF THE LIGHT, OR CURTAINS OF LIGHT, THE FIRMAMENT
A symbol of the higher mind as being receptive of
the Spirit of Truth and Love.
“The souls delivered over by the moon to the æons of the Father,
they abide there in that pillar of glory which is called perfect
air. And this air is a pillar of light, for its fullness is in the
souls that are being purified.” — ARCHE-LAUS, Doctrine of Manes.
The lunar pitris (souls), or monads of form, in which the astral
(moon) life of desire is worked up, provide the personality, which
in due course is delivered over to the collective solar pitris
(Father) evolution for the bestowal of the germ of the
individuality. These Divine monads (atma‑buddhic) have their seat in
the higher mind (perfect air), in the causal‑body (pillar of light);
and the development of the causal‑body is to be accomplished through
the purification of the personalities (souls).
