BIBLE VERSES

RAIN

A symbol of downpouring truth (water) from buddhi (cloud), dispel error and illusion.

"I will pour forth rain from the clouds of the Law upon the beings plunged in hell and devoured by hell-fire, and they will be filled with joy and gladness (says the infant Buddha)." - Lalita-vistara.

The Self from its Wisdom-Truth aspect (the Law) will bestow truth upon the egos immersed in the lower nature (hell) and subject to suffering (hell-fire); and they will be purified of their imperfections and enter into bliss.

"If clouds' are holy preachers, the rains from the clouds are the words of their preaching."

“For the drops of dew (or rain) are the holy preachers themselves, who water the fields of our breast with the grace of bounty from above." - ST. GREGORY. Morals on the Book of Job, Vol. III. pp. 245, 340.

"Rain signifies divine truth from heaven." - SWEDENBORG, Apocalypse Revealed, n. 496.
