VIRGIN BRINGING FORTH A SON

Symbolic of the purified emotion nature giving birth to the Christ soul

For this mystery the Naassene says is the Gate of Heaven and this is the House of God where the Good God dwells alone into which House no impure man can come no psychic no fleshly man but it is kept under watch for the spiritual alone where when they come they must cast away their garments and all become bridegrooms obtaining their true manhood through the Virginal Spirit

For this he says is the Virgin big with child conceiving and bearing a Son not psychic not fleshly but a blessed Eon of Eons Hippolytus Philosophumena Book V

This mystery is the Celestial Abode the Causal body or World soul where dwelleth Unity the Higher Self Atma buddhi the Father Mother of all Into this entrance of higher manas no lower mind no kama manas Only those souls who have put away the old Adam and have purified themselves of their lusts and limitations and who have transcended the littleness of their lower selves can enter in Those who have cast off the lower self or nether garments are to be clothed upon of the Spirit and the love element is to be turned to the highest use in the sacrifice of such forms of thought as would retard progress along higher lines

For this purified lower nature is the holy Virgin the immaculate one who consecrates herself to the purpose of bearing and bringing forth the Christ within the soul spiritual and exalted who will heal save and uplift humanity throughout the cycle

With one voice Eckhart and Tauler Ruysbroek and Suso exclaim Arise O man realise the end of thy being make room for God within thy soul that He may bring forth His Son within thee Vaughan Hours Vol I p 300
