WHEELS, HOLYA symbol of the Rounds of the Lunar cycle, in which the astral nature is developed. "When the child of man is born, there is given to him a Nephesth, i.e. animated life from the animals, the clean side, from the side of those which are called Auphaneh ha-Qad-dosh, the Holy Wheels" (Zohar). - I. When the spiritual ego descends to the mental plane, and so becomes the son of mind (manasaputra), there is provided for him a desire-nature (Nephesh) in an astral body, developed through animal forms to the highest extent; and this desire-nature has been evolved for humanity during the Rounds of the Lunar chain of worlds. The "animated life from the animals" is the astral nature which is the basis of the human personality when the mental nature is superadded to the desire-nature and man appears on the earth. |
