WOMAN AS MATTERA symbol of the veil of matter in which manifestation takes place. Matter is the feminine, receptive principle in which Spirit, masculine, active, becomes involved. "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of woman, made under the law." - GALATIANS iv. 4. For when the Absolute out-breathed, the Logos was emanated as the Divine sacrifice limited by matter (woman) and involved therein with all its qualities, according to the supreme law. |
