YIMA-KHSHAÊTA (JAMSHED)A symbol of the Higher Self or Divine Ego "A son was born to Vivanhâo Yima khshaêta who had abundance of flocks the most glorious of those born; the most sun-like of men; that he made during his reign over the earth; men and cattle free from death; water and trees free from drought, and they were eating inexhaustible food" - Homa Yasht There proceeded from the Absolute the Self who was formed from the interplay of those forces or Divine attributes which were inherent in the Monad of Life. The "abundance of flocks signifies the qualities of the soul-those celestial qualities which enable the ego to aspire. The sun-like of men" is symbolical of self-command dignity and power which subdue and conquer the lower nature (earth). The symbol "men and cattle free from death" implies that the soul-qualities persist through time and are preludes to the eternity of the existence of the soul. "Water" signifies truth and trees" are here the symbol of Divine intelligence. The "freedom from drought" is a symbol of the nourishing of the mind through pure truth. The "inexhaustible food is the sustenance of wisdom and love which comes from the higher planes. This "happy reign of Yima" refers to the Golden Age of Involution during which the 'opposites" did not exist as activities |
