RULER OF THE AEON

A symbol of the Life of the Logos emanating in the Cycle as the power which makes for righteousness interpreted in the natural, moral, and intellectual orders. And which is realised when we perceive that all things work together for good,—since such an intuition is a direct sense of the Love of God.

"God, our eternal source and goal, is love, and love is self-givingness, and self-givingness is joy. There is no particularism in the life of God. God must give himself, being what he is, and in giving himself realises himself. Man made in the image of God, being of his being, and substance of his substance, must do the same. The particular must be surrendered to the universal at every stage of our upward progress, but in that very surrender we grasp a larger life, we enter upon a greater joy. Perfect self-giving and perfect self-realisation are one and the same." - R. J. CAMPBELL, Serm., Through Death to Life.
