SUN, MOON, AND STARS
Symbols of the Individuality, Personality, and
mental qualities, of the Higher Self, lower self, and mental
faculties.
“The Sun is not only a seeing eye, but also a flowing well. The Sun
being a well, the light of his rays is the moisture that flows from
the well. In the Egyptian Book of the Dead the Sun is called ‘the
Sun, the primitive water, the father of the gods.’ … In the Vendidad
(XXI.26, 32, 34), the Sun, moon, and stars are ‘rich in milk.’ No
less frequent is the idea that the heavenly bodies make water.” -

From the Higher Self (sun), the personality (moon), and the mental
faculties (stars) there flow wisdom (milk) and truth (water) to
nourish the soul.
“The space between the earth and the firm vault of heaven is
therefore divided into three spheres, that of the sun, of the moon,
and of the stars.” - Zoroastrian System. J. F. CLARKE, *Ten

The plane of Atma for Higher Self (sun), the astral plane for
personality (moon), and the mental plane (stars) are produced as the
arena of divine life whereon the Soul expresses its nature under the
aspects of Will, Wisdom, and Love.
“And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the
day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars
also.” - GENESIS i.16.
And the Divine Will created two great luminaries in the Soul: the
Individuality and the Personality. The one serving to rule the
higher nature (day), the other serving to rule the lower nature
(night). And the mental qualities (stars), as lights in the “night,”
are also said to be made by Him.
“By the sun is signified love; by the moon is signified intelligence
and faith; by stars are signified the knowledges of truth and good
