GENESIS 6:19
"And of every living thing of all flesh you shall
bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you;
they shall be male and female."
In biblical symbolism, this is not zoology but rather it’s the
symbolic preservation of the soul’s qualities during the passage
through transformation.
“Every living thing of all flesh” is the soul’s full range
of qualities
“Flesh” here means the outer nature, the Personality and its
expressions.
But “living” means these qualities are still vital, still capable of
being redeemed.
In mysticism terms:
The soul must bring every part of itself, even the unrefined, into
the process.
“Two of every sort” = duality preserved for transformation
The “two” are not just male and female — they represent polarities:
- active/passive
- giving/receiving
- intellect/emotion
- strength/gentleness
These are the paired aspects of each quality.
They must be preserved so they can be reordered later.
“Bring into the ark” means to seal them within the inner
sanctuary
The Ark is the inner vessel of transformation, it is the place where
the soul is protected during the flood (purging).
To “bring into the ark” means:
- the soul gathers its qualities
- seals them in the inner chamber
- prepares for the descent into purification
This is the same pattern as:
- the Tabernacle enclosing the tribes
- the womb enclosing the child
- the soul enclosing its nature for rebirth
“To keep them alive with thee” means the soul must not
reject its own nature
Even the unrefined qualities must be preserved, not destroyed.
They will be:
- reordered
- regenerated
- harmonized
But they must first be kept alive and held in the Ark of
consciousness.
The Esoteric Message.....
Genesis 6:19 shows the soul gathering all its qualities — in their
dual aspects — and sealing them within the inner sanctuary so they
may be preserved through the purging and transformed by the rising
of the Higher Life.
