BIBLE VERSES

GENESIS 1:15

"And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so."

In biblical symbolism, this verse describes the awakening of inner illumination within the mental plane. The “lights” are not physical luminaries but spiritual intelligences, the higher faculties that arise when consciousness becomes stable enough to receive them.

“Lights in the firmament of the heaven”

The “firmament of heaven” is the higher mental plane, the clear, reflective field of consciousness that separates Reality (buddhi) from illusion (astral desire).

The “lights” placed there symbolize:
- higher intuitions
- spiritual insights
- archetypal ideas
- the Christ‑light refracted through the mind

These are the inner stars that guide the soul.

“To give light upon the earth”

“Earth” is the physical‑astral‑mental personality, the lower carnal nature.

The purpose of the higher lights is:
- to illumine the lower mind
- to guide the emotions toward purity
- to shape the personality into an instrument of the Higher Self

Light descends from above to transform below.

The Inner Process

This verse marks the moment when the soul becomes capable of receiving and transmitting spiritual light. The higher mind stabilizes (“firmament”), the intuitive faculties awaken (“lights”), and the personality begins to reflect the divine pattern (“light upon the earth”).

It is the birth of inner guidance.

The Esoteric Message.....
The Higher Self implants spiritual illumination in the higher mind so that the lower nature may be guided, purified, and shaped into harmony with the divine pattern, allowing the soul to walk its path by an inward light rather than by external compulsion.
